Gasoline and a diesel on offer
The engine portfolio includes three gasoline engines and one diesel. The entry-level model is the 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo with 110 hp, which drives the front wheels via a manual transmission. There is also a 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 150 hp with a dual-clutch transmission. The top gasoline engine remains the two-liter turbo with a torquey 190 hp, which is available exclusively with DSG and all-wheel drive.
Among the compression-ignition engines, the 1.6-liter TDI has been retired. The replacement comes in the form of the new two-liter Group TDI, which promises lower emissions and fuel consumption. The model with this unit is available with 150 hp. a DSG automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Travel-Assist and the Trailer-Assist
The redesigned bumpers add almost two centimeters to the Ateca. In the future, the tailgate will feature new materials underneath the New materials enhance the interior, and the virtual cockpit is available as an option.
There is also ambient lighting, a memory function for the driver's seat and a heated windshield.
Connectivity has been increased and the driving aids will in future include the lane-keeping Travel-Assist and Trailer-Assist for trailer operation.
The Swiss market launch, prices and equipment have not yet been determined.
