A large part of the attractions can be operated based on the protection concept for visitors and employees.

The traffic light for visitors is green.

Transport Museum Director Martin Bütikofer: "I'm really looking forward to the reopening. There are few attractions where the employee and the visitor have to wear a mask. Those who buy their tickets online benefit from a ten percent discount and can enter the museum directly. Da restaurant Mercato and the coffee bar are open."

Scooters and play buses are available to get around the Swiss Museum of Transport Arena.

Traffic garden for the family
In the arena you can experience the fascination of mobility in the open air. To cross the arena, scooters and play buses are available.

In the traffic garden, guests between the ages of three and twelve are shown how the traffic rules work on pedal carts.

And it gets even better: with the help of excavators and shovels, various construction materials are loaded and transported, roads are repaired or paths are laid in the road construction arena. Fun for the whole family

Desired car comes at the touch of a button
A special attraction is the so-called car theater. It is not a theater, but rather a rack operated by robots, with compartments so large that they can hold entire cars. On display are 80 vehicles from the years 1860 to 2005.

The visitors decide which object the robot should fetch for closer inspection by voting among those present at the push of a button. The car is then placed on a turntable and can be viewed from all sides.

About each car or vehicle is shown simultaneously a film. The lower half of the high rack shows the most important car designs of the 20th century.

Master Builders Association celebrates anniversary
As part of the 125th anniversary, which the Swiss Association of Master Builders will celebrate in 2022, the Tour d'horizon project was launched. The Tour d'horizon is a five-story mobile tower that will be set up at various locations in Switzerland. It is currently located on the grounds of the Swiss Museum of Transport.

Visitors can take part in a survey on site to find out what they think Switzerland should look like in 2040. As a reward, there is a unique view of the museum grounds and a welcome drink on the viewing platform at the top.

Important information on the Internet
The various exhibitions in the halls and the spacious outdoor area guarantee a special and, above all, safe experience. The Filmtheater, Planetarium, Swiss Chocolate Adventure, Hans Erni Museum and Dokuzentrum remain closed.

All important information about your visit can be found continuously updated on the Internet.
