In its sixth generation, the Bulli has been sold around thirteen million times in various versions. Even the original T1 version, which was delivered to the first Swiss customers in April 1950, offered the combination of maximum space utilization and clear design.
Sales record in the first quarter
But the current T6.1 series also seems to be very popular with Mr. and Mrs. Swiss. From January to the end of March, 2192 vehicles from the Multivan, Caravelle, California and Transporter T-models were handed over to customers in Switzerland. This is a historic sales record.
This success is no coincidence. The new T6.1 series is fully digital on request, offers semi-automated driving functions and comes with a comprehensive range of equipment, a design that appeals Design and particularly efficient 2.0 TDI engines.
Fully digital instruments for the first time
The completely redesigned instrument panel is offered for the first time with fully digital instruments: the "Digital Cockpit" (AutoSprintCH reported). New turbodiesel direct-injection engines (TDI) are available for all models in the T6.1 series in 90, 110, 150 and 199 hp power ratings. 4Motion all-wheel drive is available on request for certain models. All TDIs meet the Euro 6d-Temp emissions standard.
Prices start at 37 520 francs
The starting price of the new Multivan 6.1 is 37,520 Swiss francs, that of the new Caravelle 6.1 is 33,721 Swiss francs, that of the California Beach 6.1 is 43,880 Swiss francs and that of the Transporter panel van 6.1 is 25,676 Swiss francs.
