Easter is approaching and with it the time to change tires. Changing from winter to summer tires is advisable for motorists in many respects.
Markus Peter, Head of Technology & Environment at Auto Gewerbe Verband Schweiz: "In contrast to winter tires, summer tires have a harder rubber compound. This means that the tires can withstand the warm temperatures ideally. The braking distance is shorter, grip is better and you benefit from greater driving comfort."
Rolling resistance and exhaust fumes
Another difference can be seen in the tread pattern of the tires. In the rain or on wet roads, summer tires generally displace water more effectively than winter tires, which noticeably increases safety.
Markus Peter: "Thanks to the lower rolling resistance, less fuel is also consumed, which saves motorists money and reduces CO2 emissions."
Safety during vehicle handover
Many companies offer a pick-up and delivery service for those who do not want to go to the workshop in person. Key boxes, separate areas and the use of disinfectants when handing over vehicles are further measures that contribute to the safety of employees and customers.
