Kia: The Soul EV comes with a free Evpass

An attractive and sensible idea: From the end of August, new Kia Soul EV customers will receive an Evpass free of charge. The pass is the access and payment method for the Green Motion electric charging station network. It is given in the form of a key fob. The pass includes the first year's subscription fee (59 francs) and has a charging value of 50 francs, which can be used at any time [...]

Kia Soul EV: The four-door model is one of the range-topping electric cars on the market. Prices start at 36,900 Swiss francs net (Trend model).

The pass includes the first annual subscription fee (59 francs) and has a charging value of 50 francs, which can be increased at any time. With the Evpass from the Vaud-based company Green Motion, public refueling of the electric Soul will be even easier in the future. By the end of 2017, the electric charging station network of Green Motion and its partners is to be expanded to 1000 electric charging stations throughout Switzerland.

High-performance battery enables long range
The Kia Soul EV can cover up to 212 kilometers on one charge. Test drives even revealed a range record of 254 kilometers. How this result can be achieved by driving economically was documented by test driver and hypermiler Felix Egolf. This endurance is made possible by a lithium-ion polymer high-performance battery. Another advantage of this battery is its high charging capacity: it can be fully charged in just four to five hours using the standard on-board charger (6.6 kW AC) on a suitably powerful 230-volt connection. If time is of the essence, the battery can be charged to 80 percent in 33 minutes at a 50-kW fast-charging station.
