The newly conceived design will make its debut in the seventh season, when the electric racing series will be held for the first time as the official ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

Numerous modifications
In anticipation of this next epochal season, the first Formula E car to race for the world championship received a number of structural design changes. For example, a new front wing, a rear fin, a strikingly curved rear wing and an updated championship livery.

The body modifications come midway through the current four-year cycle of the Gen2 era and give Formula E a new look. The vehicle will continue to be fitted with the 18-inch Michelin Pilot Sport all-weather tires, which have been specially developed for use on wet and dry surfaces.

Continue to own components of the teams
The state-of-the-art CGI images show the uniform chassis and bodywork that all participants will use in the seventh season. The regulations still leave open the possibility for teams to design and develop their own electrical components and parts for the powertrain.

Alejandro Agag, founder of Formula E: "As with the first generation of Formula E racing cars, the body of the Gen2 EVO has been redesigned to make its look even sleeker and more agile. With its futuristic design, Formula E once again presents itself as the class for innovation, both in terms of technological progress and design."

On March 3, the Gen2 EVO model will be unveiled for the first time at the FIA stand at the Geneva Motor Show.
