Clear bestsellers are the XC models
The popular XC models in particular laid the foundation for Volvo Switzerland's fourth year of growth. The best-selling Volvo XC40 topped the list for the first time. New registrations of the compact SUV, which is popular in Switzerland, totaled 2698 vehicles. The successful Swiss model Volvo XC60 follows closely behind with 2,540 registrations.

Success with twin engine models
Of the new registrations, more than 1060 units are so-called "twin-engine" models. Compared with the previous year, the importer increased sales of its plug-in hybrid models by over 19 percent.
Among all manufacturers in Switzerland, the representative network has sold the largest number of plug-in hybrid vehicles for the third consecutive year.

Consistent electrification
Volvo is also systematically driving forward the electrification of its models in Switzerland. Volvo currently has eleven plug-in hybrids in its range, with two more to be added in 2020. Numerous variants are already available as mild hybrids. In 2020, twice the production capacity of plug-in hybrids will be available for the Swiss market compared to the previous year. At the end of the year, the Volvo XC40 Recharge will be the first fully electric model to open a completely new chapter in the company's 90-year history.

Investments in modern representations
Volvo's investment in the future is focused not only on products, but also on expanding and modernizing the national network of agents in line with the Volvo Retail Experience. The Volvo Retail Experience gives the official Volvo dealerships a uniform appearance with an inviting, Scandinavian-influenced design. The new brand identity will be implemented throughout Switzerland by the end of the first half of the year.
