The new model has grown in length by a good four centimetres to 4.06 meters and has remained the same width (1.75 meters). However, the vehicle height has been reduced by almost five centimeters to 1.43 meters.

Thanks to the longer wheelbase, there is more space both in the rear and in the trunk with 309 to 1083 liters of storage capacity. However, only the five-door version is still on offer.

Screen and touchscreen
The interior is equipped to a high standard in terms of both feel and quality. The new cockpit has been digitalized and offers an 8-inch screen behind the steering wheel and a 10-inch touchscreen above the center console. So the little Blitz fits in perfectly with the times.

Three gasoline engines and one diesel
The new Cor-sa, which is based on the PSA CMP platform, is powered by three three-cylinder petrol engines with a displacement of 1.2 liters and outputs of 75, 100 or 130 hp There is also a 102 hp 1.5-liter diesel engine.

The majority of Swiss customers will opt for one of the two more powerful petrol engines. These are equipped with six gears or a pleasant 8-speed automatic transmission.

Normal, Eco or Sport as required
The current top version GS-Line with 130 hp is particularly dynamically tuned and offers three driving programs (Normal, Eco, Sport), which influence the throttle response, shift points and steering. The Corsa is also up to date in terms of assistance systems - including lane departure warning.

Electric Corsa arrives in spring
Prices for the new Opel Corsa start at 16,990 francs with 75 hp. The all-electric version will follow in spring. The 50 kWh battery should generate a range of 337 kilometers. An initial test drive was very promising. The Corsa-e will cost 34,990 francs.
