The Renault Zoe is convincing more and more Swiss to switch to electric mobility.
But there is another reason to applaud the European pioneer among electric vehicles. By the end of October 2019, some 40,000 Renault Zoe vehicles had already been registered across Europe.
In Switzerland, sales doubled to 1309 vehicles in the same period. This is a clear sales record, which the new Zoe with its 395 kilometer range (according to WLTP) should boost even further.
From 2012 to summer 2019, 179,149 Renault Zoe left the plant in Flins, all fully electric. In mid-July 2019, the plant already started production of the third generation with the Zoe.
Consistent in terms of e-mobility
Olivier Wittmann, Managing Director Renault Suisse SA: "Renault set the course early and consistently in the direction of electromobility. We are passing on this lead directly to our customers. The 200,000 Renault Zoe vehicles produced show the direction in which the market is moving. The same is confirmed by the current sales figures, in Europe and in Switzerland. The new Zoe should give this trend a further boost."
Increase of more than 100 percent
In Switzerland, the popularity of the Zoe is also increasing year by year. From January to the end of October 2019, the number of newly registered Renault Zoe is 1309 units. This is 102 percent more than in the same period of the record year 2018 (647). From 2012 to the end of October 2019, a total of 4535 Renault Zoe were sold in Switzerland.
