When developing the specifications for the film cars, Land Rover's design team worked closely with Chris Corbould, the man responsible for special effects and stunt vehicles. They selected the Defender 110 X in Santorini Black.
Conversions for the new film
For film use, the vehicles were given a dark underride guard and equally dark 20-inch wheels on which special tires for tough off-road use were mounted. The James Bond Defenders were the first models to roll off the production line at the new plant in Nitra, Slovakia.
Range Rover Convertible first company car
Jaguar Land Rover has long worked with EON Productions, the makers of the James Bond films. In 1983, a model from the brand made its first appearance on the big screen as James Bond's official car: a Range Rover convertible in the 007 film "Octopussy.
In "No Time to Die," the 25th Bond thriller, the Range Rover Sport SVR, the Land Rover Series III and the Range Rover Classic are featured alongside the Defender. The film is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga - the lead role as Agent 007, originally created by Ian Fleming, will be played for the fifth time by Daniel Craig. The film is scheduled for release in early April 2020.
