He will nevertheless launch and implement the changes and new projects for GIMS initiated by Olivier Rihs at the upcoming 90th anniversary edition from March 5 to 15, 2020.
Board of Trustees seeks successor
The President of the Foundation Board of the Geneva International Motor Show regrets this resignation.
Maurice Turrettini: "We thank Olivier Rihs for initiating and implementing a number of innovations for GIMS. With GIMS Discovery, GIMS Tech and the GIMS VIP Day, Geneva will be strengthened as one of the most important locations for car shows and the experience will be greatly enhanced for visitors. The Foundation Board is already looking for a successor solution".
Change to Tamedia in May 2020
Olivier Rihs will take over as Head of the Classifieds & Marketplaces business unit on Tamedia's Executive Board "from May 1, 2020 at the latest". From 2002 to 2018, Oliver Rihs worked in various functions at Scout24 Suisse SA, one half of which is owned by Ringier and the other half by Mobiliar. At the network of online marketplaces, he was CEO from 2011 to 2018.
