For the Swiss, the Anneau du Rhin (= Rhine Ring) near Biltzheim in Alsace is something of a home track. Whether for test and set-up runs quickly after work, club races or driving events - the private race track between Mulhouse and Colmar is gladly used by Swiss organizers, teams and drivers at every opportunity.

No circuit is closer to the Swiss border; it's just under 50 kilometers from Basel. So it's a stone's throw from Hockenheim or Bresse, which are also popular with the German-speaking Swiss because of their proximity.

Lifestyle event with 12-hour race
In 2020, the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook will be the first international series to stage an event on the Anneau du Rhin following full approval by the FIA. On the weekend of June 11-13, a 12-hour race will take place there on the 3.6-kilometer variant as the third round of the European Championship.

It is combined with an annual high-quality automotive lifestyle event, the history of which goes back to 1964. There is no question that even more Swiss teams and drivers will apply for a starting place than at previous races. The event is also likely to attract many spectators from Switzerland and Germany, which is also close to the border.

The very latest onboard video of a Frenchman in a Lamborghini shows the Anneau du Rhin from the driver's perspective during a French endurance race (500 Nocturnes) on September 21, 2019.

Four current GP tracks
Also new next year are the races at the Nürburgring (on Sunday after Saturday's VLN round) and Monza. Otherwise, the series is sticking with the successful events at the Dubai Autodrome, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Circuit of The Americas. The 12H COTA USA on the GP circuit just outside the Texas city of Austin will be the finale of the intercontinental 24H Series in mid-November.

The calendar of the 24H Series 2020. Alsace appears in it as a venue for the first time.
