Monstrous rear wheel, huge engine block, lots of aluminum - that's the new Rocket 3.

Triumph has retained the characteristic twin headlights as well as the steam hammer power of 221 Newton meters. However, in the new edition, which has been lightened by 40 kilograms, the maximum torque is available earlier and ranges from 3000 to 5000 rpm.

Completely new three-cylinder engine
No homologated figures are yet available for top speed and fuel consumption, but the V-index of the tires suggests that it will be heading for 240 km/h. The completely redesigned three-cylinder engine has a compression ratio of 110.8:1 millimeters. The completely redesigned three-cylinder engine compresses at a ratio of 10.8:1, and the bore is a record-breaking 110.2 millimeters. The Triumph engineers have wrested 18 kilograms from the engine compared with the predecessor.
This was achieved, among other things, by weight-optimized parts such as a new crankcase, a new dry sump system for lubricating the engine with integrated oil tank, and new balancer shafts.

If desired, Google Maps shows the way with arrow symbols on the round central instrument.

Electronic ride-by-wire system
An eye-catching three-in-three exhaust system provides the rocket remake's throaty, extra-low soundtrack. Like all current Triumph models, the Rocket 3 features an electronic ride-by-wire system for the throttle grip and engine control. Integrated water cooling is said to provide strong performance and high fuel efficiency. The hydraulically operated clutch is torque-assisted.

Adjustable chassis components
The equipment leaves hardly anything to be desired and all comes from the top components shelf: high-performance braking system from Brembo, fully adjustable suspension components from Showa, dual LED headlights with daytime running lights, networked TFT color instrument, keyless ignition, cruise control, hill start assist, USB charging socket - all on board as standard on the two variants Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT.

Assistants and traction control
Networking is a big topic on Triumph's giga-cruiser anyway. The standard multi-axle inertial sensor system from Continental gives the Rocket 3 electronic assistants such as cornering ABS and a traction control system suitable for cornering. The four riding modes include "Road," "Rain," "Sport" and "Custom." Phone, music and handy Go-Pro controls can also be fed in via the connectivity module. Control of the video and photo functions runs intuitively via the illuminated switch unit on the handlebars.

More than 50 exclusive accessories
Triumph has anchored the service intervals at 16,000 kilometers. Custom enthusiasts can choose from more than 50 exclusive accessories - and three colors: Phantom Black is available for both bikes, Korosi Red only for the R, Silver Ice and Storm Grey only for the GT. Triumph plans to announce the prices on November 19, 2019.
