Team boss is Bruno Flückiger, known among other things from Formula 1 with ATS and as a Group C technician (Brun-Porsche and Sauber-Mercedes). Under his wing, three historic vehicles will take part in this year's rally.

Over 100,000 motorsport fans at the track
The Ennstal Classic stands for pure driving on the most beautiful alpine roads in Austria. The teams will complete over 850 kilometers. The event will start on Thursday with the prologue, followed by the marathon on Friday and the grand finale in Gröbming on Saturday. 234 teams from 19 nations will take the rally under their wheels.

Every year, more than 100,000 motorsport fans follow pilots and vehicles along the track. The Porsche Design Grand Prix in Gröbming, which takes place on Saturday and features historic representatives of racing history, is watched by over 20,000 visitors each time.

Prominent pilots race for victory
Former Formula 1 and Formula 2 driver Jo Vonlanthen will be driving a 1964 Jaguar E from the Emil Frey Classics AG collection together with Daniel Mauerhofer (racing driver in Swiss slaloms and hill climbs).

Jochen Mass, former GP driver and Le Mans winner, will pilot the 340-hp, 6.2-liter Chrysler 300. Co-pilot is Martin Utberg, who is also filming a feature for TopSpeed.

Last but not least, Bruno Flückiger completes the team not only as team manager and coordinator, but also as driver with an Auto Union 1000S Coupé. On the passenger seat navigates partner Caroline Hoi, daughter of mountaineering legend Klaus Hoi.

And for those who don't want to travel that far but enjoy well-kept older vehicles, insider Daniel Mauerhofer has a valuable tip for classic car fans.

Daniel Mauerhofer: "In the Vorhard industrial area at the Bott Academy in Döttingen, lovers of special motor vehicles from the region meet regularly. Not only classic cars are welcome, but also youngtimers and sports cars. Anyone who wants to can also come with a custom bike."

The next OldiesButGoldies event will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019, starting at 6pm.
