Avenergy Suisse ensures the supply in Switzerland with the most important energy sources.
Daniel Hofer, President of the Association: "The Petroleum Association has been around for almost sixty years. During this time, the areas of mobility and the heating market have undergone major changes. With the new name, we are taking this development into account."
The range of products and services, both in terms of energy sources and other mobility services, is constantly expanding, and with it their specific expertise in many aspects of daily energy supply.
Central role of fossil fuels
The biogenic fuels market is growing and helping to reduce CO2 emissions from road transport. The next change could be CO2-neutral freight transport by road. Electric vehicles with fuel cells will then be able to count on a supply of hydrogen.
Despite such developments, tried-and-tested fossil fuels will continue to play a central role in meeting Switzerland's energy needs. Today, they account for around 65 percent of total energy consumption.
