WAVE Trophy: Biker got the most points
SILENTLY THROUGH SWITZERLAND The world's largest e-mobile rally, WAVE Switzerland (World Advanced Vehicle Expedition), successfully covered 1600 kilometers without any major problems. The convoy of 64 e-vehicles, including eight e-bikes and eight purely electric motorcycles, hummed to the start in Reinach near Basel. The route led over the Klausen Pass to Schaffhausen, then via Flims and the Lukmanier as well as the Gotthard to Leukerbad and finally via Geneva and Yverdon to Zug.
The teams not only had to cover up to 280 kilometers per day, but also answer questions at posts along the route. The team with the most points won the Trophy.
Team Speicher won with a BMW
Best Stromer was Bruno Halter from Team Speicher with his BMW c Evolution motorcycle. For the first time in the history of the event, a motorcycle with only one person won. Second place went to the newcomer team Bla Elbil with Lisa and Erich Schröter from Paderborn with their Hyundai Ioniq. Team Blue Fire from Mettendorf in Thurgau with Felix Maag and David Itten can be pleased about the third place.

Electric rally across Germany
After the WAVE is before the WAVE, and so organizer Louis Palmer is already planning the next WAVE. From September 13 to 21, 2019, it's once through Germany, and 2020 WAVEs in Hungary and Italy will be added.
