Porsche: This is how the Cayenne Coupé drives
FAHRSPASS Porsche is now also offering its successful Cayenne SUV model as a coupé. The new body variant not only looks sportier, it is also more dynamically tuned. With a flatter windshield and a sharply sloping roofline towards the rear, the new body variant of the Porsche Cayenne is already much more dynamic from the outside. Technically, it is based on the third generation of the popular SUV model, but it differs significantly.
Sport Chrono Package is available ex works
Customers receive dynamic handling systems and the Sport Chrono package as standard, while the engine variants deliver power almost at will: The two V6 engines deliver 340 and 440 hp as a turbo and as a biturbo, and the top model with 550 hp ensures supreme superiority. The engine power is always transmitted to all wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Assisted steering rear wheels
Although the 4.93-metre-long vehicle weighs more than two tons and is neither narrow nor low, it handles almost like a sports car. The steering, which is unusually direct and precise for an SUV, receives noticeable support from the steering rear wheels. Lane changes at higher speeds are quick and safe, and in tight bends the large wheelbase of 2.90 meters is "outsmarted" by the counter-steering rear wheels.
100 km/h after just 3.9 seconds
If you also want to be at the top in terms of performance with the sporty new model, buy the Turbo Coupé version with V8 engine. It reaches 100 km/h from a standing start in just 3.9 seconds and can accelerate to 286 km/h. However, the top-of-the-range engine is not necessarily an obvious choice, as the two six-cylinder engines alone make the Coupé an extremely agile high-legged vehicle.
There is enough space for passengers in the back
For rear passengers, the seat has been lowered by 30 millimetres and the roof lining has been recessed so that even tall people have no problems. Incidentally, the roof is available as a large panoramic window or as a lightweight carbon roof.
In terms of price, the Cayenne Coupé is aimed at financially less sensitive customers. They can expect to pay at least 109,700 francs (Coupé 340 hp), 130,700 francs (S Coupé 440 hp) and 193,300 francs (Turbo Coupé 550 hp).
