Alain Menu is back: After the disaster at the last TCR races in 2015, he now hopes to make the most of his experience in a British Honda team.

The two TCR races for the Italian team Top Run with a Subaru Impreza were disasters in the fall of 2015 for technical reasons. Now Alain Menu gets to show once again that even at 50+ he is far from being old iron. WestCoast Racing has engaged the Genevan and the Russian Mikhail Grachev for next weekend's event in Imola. They replace Aku Pellinen and Kevin Gleason, who are experiencing budget problems. The Honda Civic Type R TCR now gives Alain Menu a potential winning car. With it, Gianni Morbidelli won the first of the two races in Portugal and Pellinen recently won the first race at Spa.

Alain Menu: "It's great to be back and I thank the team for this opportunity. As much as I'm looking forward to this assignment, I'm also aware that this won't be an easy task, because I won't have the opportunity to test with the Honda beforehand." The joy about the commitment is mutual, as team owner Greger Petersson confirms: "With Alain, we have one of the best drivers at the wheel of front-wheel-drive cars. His experience will be of benefit to us."

When will champion Stefano Comini take his first win of the season?
With Alain Menu and Stefano Comini, there are two strong Swiss drivers on the grid at Imola. After the TCR champion from Ticino finished second or third on the podium after three of the last four races, the first win of the season is only a matter of time. Jean-Karl Verney and he last ensured a double victory in Spa: "The team and the VW Golf are new to TCR. We've had a lot of problems with little things so far, but we're working on solving them."
