Worldwide, more than 500,000 units of the Ford Mustang have been sold since 2015.

According to market research firm IHS Markit, 113,066 units were sold around the globe in 2018 alone - making the Ford Mustang the best-selling sports coupe in the world for the fourth year in a row.
Marked increase in the current year
In the U.S., 75,842 Mustangs were sold last year - first place in the corresponding segment. In the European markets, Ford sold around 2300 Mustang in the first quarter of 2019, a striking increase of more than 27 percent compared to the same period last year.
Bullitt edition model is a sales hit
The Ford Mustang was available in 146 countries in 2018. More than 500,000 units have been sold worldwide since 2015, the market launch of the sixth generation - more than 45,000 of them in Europe.
The automotive icon recorded a global market share of 15.4 percent in its segment last year. Compared with the same period last year, this was an increase of half a percentage point, primarily due to the Mustang Bullitt edition model.
