The ACS Thurgau OC is looking forward to the anniversary. Great battles for victory can be expected in all groups.

The contingent of 360 starting places is exhausted. The Frauenfeld Auto Racing Days, held for the 20th time, will have a full field on April 27 and 28. Saturday is reserved for the LOC classes and the one-make cups of Abarth, Porsche and Suzuki. The Lotus V6 Cup Suisse and the Swiss Corvette Club International will be held on Sunday. The second round of the Swiss Slalom Championship takes center stage. Almost 140 drivers are registered here, including some well-known names who were not yet present at the start of the season on April 6 in Interlaken.

Danny Krieg back in the E1 Audi
With 49 vehicles in the Interswiss and 48 in the E1, the two specialty car groups are almost equally strong. In Frauenfeld, points for the IS Trophy will be at stake for the first time, which is why so many are now getting involved in the action. Among them in the two-liter class is Jürg Ochsner in the Opel Kadett 16V, who will be putting SM title contender Manuel Santonastaso in the BMW 320 to the test for the first time. Under normal circumstances, however, "Santi" is hard to beat on his home track.

In E1, Danny Krieg returns with his Audi A4 STW after concentrating on hill climbs last year. A tough challenge for Christian Darani in the Fiat X 1/9, who is also aiming for the title. Especially as Reto Steiner in the Ford Escort RS V6 is also aiming to challenge him for victory, as he did in Interlaken. Likewise Daniel Kammer in the almost 300 hp Honda Civic, which finally has a perfect gear ratio - it will be exciting.

Battle for the touring car victory
The battle for the overall touring car victory also promises to be exciting. Simon Wüthrich is contesting the second slalom in his VW Golf Turbo 4WD in preparation for the hill climb. Last year, he celebrated his first major victory in Frauenfeld. His main opponents include Interlaken winner Patrick Drack in a Porsche GT3, Jürg Beiner in a BMW M3 GTR V8, who was absent at the start of the season due to illness, Bruno Ianniello in a Lancia Delta S4 and Hermann Bollhalder in an Opel Speedster.

As always: Egli versus Maurer
Philip Egli in the Dallara EPR1 and Marcel Maurer in the Tatuus Renault will decide the day's victory between themselves. Lukas Eugster in the Ligier-Honda is a candidate for a podium finish, which Daniel Maurerhofer is not aiming for at all costs in his debut with the Dallara World Series. He first has to get used to the newly acquired large V6 racing car.

Stefan Böhler's on-board camera in a Formula Renault at the 2017 race shows what the 2.7-kilometer course with 45 gates looks like from the perspective of a race car driver.
