Mitsubishi: Detail care for Eclipse Cross
IMPROVEMENT As announced at the market launch a year ago, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is gradually launching further variants of the Eclipse Cross coupé SUV in Europe. The new model's equipment includes the further developed low-pressure MIVEC 4N1 diesel engine, a special new 8-speed automatic transmission and the Super All Wheel Control 4×4 system.
Lower consumption and cleaner exhaust gases
The 4N1 engine with two overhead camshafts, 16V, 4-cylinder with common rail and direct injection belongs to the low-pressure diesel engine family and is the world's first diesel engine with variable valve timing. The optimized technology reduces fuel consumption, cleaner exhaust gases, lower noise levels and increases torque to 388 Nm.
The dynamics of the Eclipse Cross 2.2 DiD are enhanced by the 8-speed automatic transmission, which offers a wider range of finely graduated ratios for better performance, greater efficiency and more finesse.
Last but not least, the dynamics of the Eclipse Cross are enhanced by the S-AWC system, which regulates the drive and braking forces of the four wheels, in particular by distributing the torque between the left and right halves of the vehicle.
Five-year manufacturer's warranty
One year after its market launch, the Eclipse Cross has passed the milestone of 80,000 units sold worldwide. In Switzerland, just under 1500 Eclipse Crosses have found a buyer since its launch.
The Eclipse Cross 2.2 DID is now available from Swiss Mitsubishi dealers. Prices start at CHF 30,450 (2.2 DID, 8-speed automatic, 4×4, 148 hp). Mitsubishi offers a five-year manufacturer's warranty as standard on all new vehicles up to a maximum of 100,000 kilometers.
