Mother's Day Event: 4×4 by women for women

The company Gränzelos goes in Illnau-Effretikon, specialist for offroad events, had the idea to create under the motto "Ladies only! High heels wheels!"" to create an event where women can experience the handling of offroaders under professional guidance.

Guided by experienced rally co-driver
The organizer mobilized Carmen Hrup, an experienced rally co-driver, to head the event. She in turn asked Anna Oetiker, a real expert, to help her.
"No question about it, I accepted immediately," says 41-year-old Anna, who has been working for years to open up access to offroad for more women. Two years ago, the trained car mechanic was able to buy a garage in Dürnten in the Zurich Oberland, where she had already worked for 13 years - the 4×4 Manufaktur.

Preparation for expedition vehicles
At Anna's farm, the oft-cited gender equality is not an issue - it's part of everyday life. The place is tidy as a whistle, which she and her two male employees do equally well. The obligatory spare parts calendar with a picture of permissive women hangs on the wall just as much as the men's calendar of the same brand.
Anna's sister works in the back office. The customers are mainly those who have their vehicles prepared for expeditions, and there are quite a few women among them. Anna: "Anyone who wants to help and do their own work is welcome. Of course, experts make sure that everything is safe in the end.

First basic course in off-road vehicle driving
What is the goal of the off-road event for women by women? "We give a basic course in off-road driving," explains 46-year-old Carmen. "There is theory and practice, driving is done in natural terrain, and those who don't have their own vehicle are provided with one."
Men? Are only allowed on the day for catering. Price: 360 francs per person, minimum age 18. The off-road event takes place in all weathers.
