Natural gas stand competition
Luca Napoleone: "By the way, we participated in the competition at the natural gas stand. And a gut feeling told me not to sign the contract for the new one yet, who knows what might happen. And when Lorenz Arni from Amag called me and told us that we had won, I believed it was a joke."
When the written confirmation arrived, everything was clear for the lucky winners. Luca Napoleone: "Now we will deal with the technology in more detail."
Total range around 700 kilometers
And this is the car they can look forward to. The Skoda Octavia G-Tec is now equipped with a 1.5 TSI engine with 130 hp. Available as a Combi and in the Ambition and Style equipment lines (from 30,950 Swiss francs), the model achieves a range of 480 kilometers in pure, environmentally friendly natural gas mode. Three tanks store a total of 17.7 kilograms of CNG. If the CNG supply is exhausted, the vehicle automatically switches to gasoline mode and uses fuel from an additional 11.8-liter tank. The total range is around 700 kilometers.
And where will the first major trip of the winning couple be? Silvia D'Aniello: "Definitely to Italy. There are gas stations for natural gas on every corner."
