After graduating from the School of Economics (ESCP-EAP) in Paris, Olivier Wittmann joined Renault in 1991. He began his professional development within the Renault s.a. subsidiary SODICAM as a sales consultant before moving to the purchasing department for spare parts and accessories at Renault s.a.s. in Boulogne in 1998. In 2003, Olivier Wittmann took over the position of Area Manager for Renault Sales in Marseille and in 2006, he moved to Renault Sales Directorate Europe as Regional Manager Northern Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands). On May 1, 2008, he took up the position of Director of Customer Service and Quality at Renault Österreich GmbH, and two years later became Director of Sales at Renault in Austria. Most recently, Wittmann was responsible for the Aftersales Directorate of the Africa-Middle East-India region.
Olivier Wittmann thus succeeds Uwe Hochgeschurtz, who has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Renault Germany. During his tenure as General Manager, he was able to initiate a promising sales dynamic with the entire dealer network and the employees of Renault Suisse SA. With a cumulative market share of 7.38% (PW & light commercial vehicles) for the Renault Group as of the end of April 2016, Renault is achieving its best performance in Switzerland in four years.
