With its stylish appearance, the new coupé generation combines the flexibility of an SUV with the style awareness and sportiness of a coupé. The A-pillar has a flatter slope, and the silhouette of the roof is correspondingly lower.
Elegant lines
The GLC Coupé derives its exceptional character from the diamond grille, which is available in silver or in black in conjunction with the Night package and whose chrome trim takes up formal elements of the underride guard.
Also eye-catching on the new model are the standard LED high-performance headlights with the flare look and their specific light signet. The rear end with the newly designed diffuser with underride protection and tailpipe trim as well as the full LED taillights compactly round off the elegant lines.
The advanced driving assistance systems have been supplemented with the exit warning, emergency lane and end-of-congestion functions, among others. Also new is the trailer maneuvering assistant, which assists with reverse maneuvering.
Choice of five four-cylinder engines
The GLC Coupé́ gets the latest generation of efficient gasoline and diesel engines. The output of the in-line four-cylinder units ranges from 197 to 245 hp. The diesels already meet the Euro 6d standard. The gasoline engines are electrified through the integration of a 48-volt electrical system (EQ Boost). The belt-driven starter-generator takes over hybrid functions such as boost or recuperation and enables fuel savings previously reserved for high-voltage hybrid technology.
