Fiat: Three body variants for the Tipo

Fiat is returning to the C segment with the Tipo, a completely new model series. The existing notchback version will be joined by a hatchback (5-door) and an estate version. The Tipo range includes three body styles (notchback, hatchback/hatchback as well as station wagon), three [...]

Fiat Tipo: The model is available as a hatchback, four-door or station wagon. Prices start at 15,990 Swiss francs.

The Tipo range comprises three body variants (notchback, hatchback/hatchback and station wagon), three equipment versions (Pop, PopStar, Lounge) and three Euro 6 engines (gasoline, diesel, each with 95 and 120 hp respectively) as well as a 6-speed manual transmission, and from fall a dual-clutch transmission. The notchback version was launched last fall (Switzerland March 2016), and more than 35,000 units have already been sold.

Significant improvements inside and out
The Tipo series offers an optimum price/performance ratio in its segment and appeals to a broad customer base with its innovative technology, economical yet powerful engines and functionality in all three versions. During the first test drives, it was clear that Fiat has done a lot of good work in the area of interior comfort. Even in higher touring ranges, practically nothing could be heard from the engines, and these powerplants could also be driven lazily in gearshifts without losing their pulling power. The interior also deserves a positive rating, with the dashboard in particular making a positive impression with its good clarity.

On the Swiss market, the Fiat Tipo, which was already "Car of the Year" once 27 years ago, is available in the notchback version from 15 990 francs. The hatchback version is available between 16,990 Swiss francs (Pop with 95 hp engine) and 22,990 Swiss francs (Lounge with 120 hp 1.6 MultiJet engine), as is the station wagon (Pop, 95 hp), available from 18,390 Swiss francs, whose top version Lounge with the 120 hp 1.6 MultiJet engine costs 23,990 Swiss francs.
