On December 29, 2013, Michael Schumacher had an accident while skiing in the French Alps. The seven-time Formula 1 world champion suffered severe head injuries. Since then, he has been living away from his family at his estate in Gland on Lake Geneva.
Schumacher's state of health has repeatedly caused speculation over the past five years. On the eve of his 50th birthday on January 3, 2019, his family addressed fans via the official Facebook page: "You can be sure that he is in the best hands and we are doing everything humanly possible to help him. Please understand if we follow Michael's wishes and leave such a sensitive subject as health, as it was in the past, in privacy."
Official application
At the same time, the Keep Fighting Foundation is giving him and all fans a very special birthday present in the form of a Michael Schumacher app. This is a virtual museum that pays tribute to the career of the most successful Formula 1 driver in history in a way that has never been seen before. It will be available in both iOS and Android versions in the app stores from January 3.
This application also links directly to the new Schumoji app, which is also being launched on Michael's birthday, with all proceeds going to the Keep Fighting Foundation. Fans can share these Schumojis of Michael and his son Mick Schumacher via their social networks.

"Michael 50" opened in Maranello
On the occasion of his round birthday, the Ferrari Museum in Maranello is dedicating the special exhibition "Michael 50" to the jubilarian. The opening took place on January 3 in the presence of many guests and representatives of various Ferrari clubs. Afterwards, the doors opened to the general public.
This exhibition was also created in collaboration with the Keep Fighting Foundation. It is intended both as a celebration and a sign of gratitude for the most successful Ferrari driver of all time.
On display are not only many photos and, in the Sala delle Vittorie, quite a few winning cars from Schumacher's time in red. Reference is also made to his contribution to the development of Ferrari road models as a racing driver (1994 to 2006) and later as a consultant.

The Schumacher tribute complements the "Driven by Enzo" and "Passion and Legend" exhibitions already on display at the Maranello museum.
