The lot list includes 46 cars and one motorcycle, along with various automobilia. The total value of the vehicles is around 9.3 million francs. So, on average, per car/motorcycle is expected about 197 000 francs. The average age of the offered vehicles is almost exactly 50 years, with extreme values 1932/1934 and 2017. Actually, each of the offered vehicles would be worth an extensive presentation, we limit ourselves to a few examples.
Comeback for Porsche 356 Carrera GT
Robert Calderari, a well-known Swiss racing driver in the fifties and sixties, who even competed in Le Mans, drove a Porsche 356 Carrera GT in 1958, delivered by Amag Schinznach. Among other things, he fought for the top places in various slaloms and hill climbs, and almost became Swiss champion with the car. The 356 traveled once almost around the world, with stops in the USA and Austria, and will now almost return to the place of origin Gstaad.
Rarities from different brands
Lancia fans watch out: three of the greatest rarities from the long and rich history of the Turin-based car manufacturer will go under the hammer in Gstaad. And anyone who would like to take part in the Mille Miglia should take a look at the two sporty Fiat from the pre-war period.
As many as five cars in Gstaad are less than 20 years old, but no less interesting for that. The Mosler MT900 from 2005, for example, is one of only a few dozen American supercars built between 2005 and 2010. The technology and also the shape are more reminiscent of Le Mans than of a road car, and the same applies to the driving performance.
Largest contingent provides Ferrari
In addition to five Alfa Romeos, four Porsches and four Jaguars, Ferrari is the largest contingent in Gstaad with four sports cars. The four cars with prancing horses are united by the fact that they are all four-seaters, actually a rare characteristic at Ferrari.
