The new model variant for the Boxster and Cayman combines the 300 hp (powerful turbo four-cylinder boxer engine with numerous performance elements. These include 20-inch light-alloy wheels, the PASM sports suspension offered here for the first time in conjunction with the 2.0-liter turbo engine, including 20 millimeters of lowering, the shortened shift lever with red gearshift pattern, and the Sport Chrono Package. In conjunction with the base engine, these features are only available in the 718 T.

Entertainment system as an option
At Porsche, the "T" traditionally stands for Touring. The two-seater accommodates this philosophy with reduced equipment. These include the black opening loops in the door panels as well as the sports seats with electric 2-way adjustment and embroidered "718" lettering in the headrests. In addition, a large storage compartment replaces the Porsche Communication Management Module (PCM). Those who do not want to do without the entertainment system can order it at no extra charge. All in all, these measures compensate for the additional weight resulting from the installation of the gasoline particulate filter.

Top speed at 275 km/h
The turbocharged boxer engine accelerates the Porsche 718 T to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds (with PDK: 4.7 seconds). The top speed is 275 km/h. Porsche offers the 718 T as a Boxster as well as a Cayman with a 6-speed manual transmission and Porsche Torque Vectoring including a mechanical rear axle differential lock. The dual-clutch transmission (PDK) is also available as an option.
The Porsche 718 Cayman T is available from 83,700 francs, while the 718 Boxster T starts at 86,400 francs.
