The new Tiguan
The second generation of the bestseller is the first SUV from the Volkswagen Group to be based on the pioneering MQB (Modular Transverse Toolkit) platform. This improves all the Tiguan's features: the body proportions are strikingly sportier, the design is even more charismatic, and the weight has been reduced by more than 50 kilograms compared with the predecessor. At the same time, the amount of space available in the interior and luggage compartment makes a huge leap. The luggage compartment volume of the new Tiguan is up to 615 liters; with the rear seat backrests folded down, even up to 1655 liters.
A wide range of powertrains with outputs between 125 hp / 92 kW and 240 hp / 176 kW is available for the new model. The new 4MOTION Active Control also allows the all-wheel drive to be adapted more individually and more easily to all possible operating conditions.
In Switzerland, the new Tiguan will be available from May 2016 at prices starting at CHF 27,900 (1.4 TSI 125 hp / 92 kW).
