Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, or FCA for short, plans to launch 13 new or revised models by 2021. The focus will be on purely electric drives or hybrid drive systems. The first of these will be the Fiat 500, which is also successful in Switzerland.
Alternative powertrains will also be available for the Jeep Compass model destined for Europe, which is to roll off the production lines alongside the smaller Renegade SUV at the Melfi plant, which has been underutilized to date.
Hybrid Panda and compact Stelvio
The Fiat Panda will have a hybrid drive and will be produced at the Pomigliano plant, where production of a new compact SUV from Alfa Romeo is also planned, which will be positioned below the Stelvio in the model range.
Meanwhile, at the Termoli engine plant, FCA will set up another production line to produce the 1.0- and 1.3-liter Firefly engines, which will be launched as turbocharged, naturally aspirated and hybrid versions.
