Every year, the Family Business Award honors a Swiss family business with particularly sustainable corporate management. This year (AutoSprintCH reported), 1a hunkeler fenster AG & 1a hunkeler holzbau AG from Ebikon, Balance Familie AG from Meisterschwanden, and Bühler Electricité SA from Monthey were in the finals.At the awards ceremony, 1a hunkeler fenster AG & 1a hunkeler holzbau AG won, joining the ranks of previous winners Jucker Farm AG (2017), Fraisa SA (2016), Wyon AG (2015), Entreprises et Domaines Rouvinez (2014), Siga Holding AG (2013) and Trisa AG (2012).All finalists this year will receive a VW Arteon R-Line as a prize from Amag.

In 1774, the history of 1a hunkeler fenster AG & 1a hunkeler holzbau AG began with a small carpentry shop. Today, the traditional Lucerne company is managed by the eighth generation.With over 60 employees and apprentices, 1a hunkeler achieves top performance in wood and window construction. In addition to prestigious projects such as the total renovation of the Chapel Bridge, which burned down in 1993, the company is primarily involved in product development.
