Paris podium: While Lucas di Grassi celebrated his third win of the season, Jean-Eric Vergne and Sébastien Buemi were not entirely satisfied.

The premiere of an eGrand Prix in Paris was the highlight of the year for the organizers of the first electric world championship in motorsport and its participants. Around 20,000 spectators attended the race on the 1.9 kilometer short course around the historic Hôtel des Invalides with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Prince Albert of Monaco was also among them. Monaco will alternate with Paris on the calendar in future.

Lucas di Grassi, who celebrated his third win of the season in the Abt-Schaeffler race car and relegated Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne from the DS Virgin team to second place, prevented the French fans from getting their money's worth. The Brazilian thus extended his lead in the standings over Sébastien Buemi from one to eleven points. As the tires of his e.dams-Renault did not generate good grip quickly enough on a fast lap in qualifying, the Vaud native had to settle for eighth place on the grid behind his team-mate Nicolas Prost (5th).

Great ambiance with the Invalides as a backdrop: The hosts from Renault and DS were unable to stop the triumphant advance of the colorful Schaeffler racing car.

Simona de Silvestro finished in 15th place
In the 45-lap race, Sébastien Buemi pulled out all the stops and fought his way up to third place with a faultless drive. In fourth place, the Swiss-born son of four-time world champion and team co-owner Alain Prost also contributed valuable points for e.dams-Renault, extending the French team's lead in the prestigious team standings. Simona de Silvestro finished 15th, unable to build on her performance at Long Beach, where she scored points for the first time in ninth place.
