25 percent lighter
Lamborghini now wants to prove this on the race track. The Lamborghini Squadra Corse racing department has developed the Urus ST-X Concept as a vision for a model to be used in racing from 2020. This is to be used to launch a unique one-make cup in two years' time.
Modified with special components, the racing SUV will weigh 25 percent less than the production model, i.e. less than 1650 kilograms. The Urus ST-X will be prepared and deployed centrally. In line with the motto "arrive and drive", customers will be offered a complete package.
Combined race tracks as in rallycross
The races are held in Europe and the Middle East on specially prepared racetracks with a proportion of gravel and asphalt and FIA homologation. Something similar is familiar from rallycross.
