The top three on the podium: Sphend Bajrami, Corinne Deubelbeiss and Claudia Kurz are delighted with their successes.

From April 4 to 14, two candidates took the practical test together for one day. The first task involved refinishing a mudguard. The second task was to repaint a fender, including painting the door. The last task involved the correct restoration of a color. Compliance with the current health and environmental protection requirements was precisely assessed in all tests.

Second and third place went to two women
Sebastian Wyder, Technical Manager at R-M: "The best performance was shown by Sphend Bajrami from Carrosserie José Barth in Courroux, Jura. The trained painter has been working with R-M paints since his apprenticeship. Silver and bronze went to two women. Corinne Deubelbeiss and Claudia Kurz from Carrosserie und Spritzwerk W. Eichelberger AG in Mägenwil, Aargau. The remaining seven finalists from French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland also showed a lot of passion and talent in the practical test, which is why they all shared 4th place."

Sphend Bajrami will represent Switzerland at the international competition in Clermont near Paris in September 2016 and compete against the national finalists from 17 countries. Ramesse Florean, Managing Director of R-M Autoreparaturlacke Schweiz: "Promoting the bodywork professions is an important concern for R-M."
