Volkswagen: WLTP test cycle better under control

WLTP approvals are now available for certain engine-transmission variants of the Volkswagen Golf. All of the manufacturer's models should comply with the regulations by the end of November or early December.

The situation has now eased somewhat. According to an inquiry by the trade magazine "kfz-betrieb", the manufacturer has now issued approvals for certain engine-transmission variants of the two model series. The Volkswagen spokesperson did not give the exact specifications, but pointed out "that we have of course prioritized the combinations that are traditionally in high demand in the approval process".

WLTP certification for certain models
In general, certain model variants of all 14 VW model series are now certified according to WLTP. However, it will still take a while before all VW models have been converted. This should be the case towards the end of November or beginning of December. Customers looking for a new Golf or Tiguan on the internet will not notice the certifications at first. This changeover has already taken place for the up!, Polo, Passat saloon, Passat Variant, Arteon and Touareg models.
