This year's return of Formula 1 to the Hockenheimring was an unexpected success in terms of attendance figures. Thanks to the increased spectator interest, the German Grand Prix will also be held at the Baden Motodrom next year.
The progress of Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 and the signing of Kimi Räikkönen will certainly attract even more spectators from Switzerland to Hockenheim.
Mercedes is new title sponsor
The organizers were able to win Mercedes-Benz as the new title sponsor. The Formula 1 Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix of Germany 2019 is scheduled for July 26-28. However, the FIA World Motor Sport Council still has to approve the 2019 World Championship calendar.
This gives fans enough time to secure their ticket. Until the end of the year, the best seats are available at early booking discounts. For example, the race day can be experienced from 99 euros.
Children up to and including 6 years of age are admitted free of charge (without seat entitlement), children and young people under 16 years of age pay only 45 euros (Sunday) or 50 euros (weekend) on every seat, with the exception of the Südtribüne Oberrang.
Grandstand hopping
On Friday of the race weekend, all holders of a valid grandstand ticket can test out what the view is like from various grandstands and what the Formula 1 experience feels like from there. Grandstand hopping is valid without seat entitlement for numerous selected areas.
Tickets are also available on several grandstands for spectators who prefer a fixed seat for all three days. The highlight here is that the visitor still has the opportunity to change perspective on Fridays when hopping.
Access to the standing areas around the track is included in the ticket for the entire weekend.
