Markus Kohler, Brand Director Skoda, and André Poulie, President of the Theodora Foundation, joined Skoda and Theodora employees in celebrating the anniversary of this exceptional partnership. Foundation President André Poulie: "In order to continue the weekly visits of the dream doctors, the Theodora Foundation depends on donors and sponsors. We are grateful to Skoda for its long-standing commitment. Skoda thus gives the gift of children's laughter."
Vehicles painted by children in daily use
Skoda vehicles designed by the young artists of the "Children draw for children" painting competition are also in daily use. Five of the brightly colored cars are now the result of the painting competition, and a sixth will be added this fall. In total, the Theodora Foundation's fleet now includes 15 Skodas. Over time, this long-standing collaboration between the foundation and the importer has developed into a friendship.
Over 100,000 visits to patients in the hospital each year
Since 1993, the Theodora Foundation has been pursuing the goal of brightening everyday life for children in hospitals and specialized institutions through joy and laughter. Every year, the specially trained dream doctors of the Theodora Foundation give patients throughout Switzerland laughter and moments of happiness during thousands of visits to children. The Foundation, which is recognized as a non-profit organization, organizes the visits of 65 Dream Doctors to 35 hospitals and 29 specialized institutions for children with disabilities every week, enabling around 100,000 children's visits every year. The financing of the artists' visits relies entirely on the support of donors and partners.
