They will be driving a 1998 Hyundai Galloper with no GPS, no highways, 4,000 kilometers and 14 countries in ten days - and all for a good cause. The undersea racers will be collecting donations for Nicole Mtawa's children's charity Human Dreams e.V. before and during their journey. The adventure begins on August 25 in Dresden and ends on September 4, 2018 in Salzburg. Those who want to join via Facebook and Instagram: CharityRally2018.
Per vehicle and team 500 Euro donations
The Balkan Express Rally, advertised by Superlative Adventure, operates according to a simple set of rules: no GPS, no sat nav, no freeway, a vehicle at least 20 years old and - the heart of the matter - at least 500 euros in donations per vehicle and team for the charity Human Dreams e.V., set up by Nicole Mtawa, which provides severely disabled and neglected children in Tanzania and India with the support that gives them a chance to live with minimal dignity.
Support of the Thurgauer by Huyndai Suisse
Veljko Belamaric, Country Manager Hyundai Suisse: "For us, the Galloper represents a kind of original SUV, with which we associated the Hyundai name with a robust off-road vehicle in the nineties. We see the support of the Thurgau team as recognition of the initiative and determination with which the team is tackling this adventure and putting the donations to good use." Important: The Thurgau team will gladly accept additional donations until September 4, 2018. Even small amounts are welcome. Contact: charityrally2018@bluewin.ch
