The Festival of Speed at Goodwood is one of the best-attended motorsport events in the world. It's not so much racing as a showcase of historic and modern racing cars in the Earl of March's castle grounds.

It's not just racing teams that like to show off what they have and once had. The automotive industry also likes to use the festival to draw attention to new sporty products - as Toyota is now doing with the upcoming Supra.

Chief engineer Tetsuya Tada and test driver Herwig Daenens steer the prototype over the race track, which is initially flat and then turns into a hill.

Toyota is again relying on an inline six-cylinder front engine and rear-wheel drive for the new Supra. The Supra is expected to be launched in the first half of 2019.

Following the announcement of the comeback at the Geneva Motor Show in spring 2018, visitors can now take a first look at the Supra. The prototype is camouflaged in the black-red-white colors of the motorsport subsidiary Toyota Gazoo Racing and will be on the road on all four days of the event.
