The special series in particular impress with their exclusivity and elegance. The latest creation: the beautifully designed Abarth 695 Rivale, a cooperation with the famous Italian yacht builder Riva as a four-wheeled dinghy for shore excursions.
Two-tone paint finish like the typical Riva boat look
In keeping with the typical Riva boat look, the upper section in dark blue and the lower in gray are divided by a fine double line in aquamarine running all around at waist height. The door handles and a rear strip in satin chrome, "695-Rivale" lettering on the tailgate and fenders, and 17-inch alloy wheels including high-gloss paint provide the appropriate finish.
Integral seats and side panels in blue leather
The interior also has a maritime look. Integral seats and side panels are also upholstered in blue leather, and the dashboard is available ex works in carbon fiber look as an option in real wood. If you happen to own a Riva yacht, you can have its name inscribed on a handmade plaque with production number in the center tunnel. If necessary, your own name will do, of course.
When the Sport button is activated, the little one gets going.
The 695 Rivale is powered by a 1.4-liter turbo gasoline engine with 180 hp. If need be, it reaches 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 225 km/h. But at the steering wheel of the 1045-kilogram vehicle, this initially feels rather restrained despite 250 Newton meters of torque. Only when you press the sport button does the Riva tender seem to activate an additional outboard motor.
Prices start at 34,450 Swiss francs for the Coupè
Just as exclusive as the appearance of the Fiat 500 with the scorpion logo on the front and rear are the prices. The Abarth 695 Rivale cannot be had for less than 34,450 francs as a coupe, while the convertible version costs from 37,450 francs. With the surcharges for the Mahogany package, automatic transmission, nav and sound system, as well as bi-xenon headlights or an electric glass sunroof for the coupe, the small cars reach the level of a decently equipped mid-range car.
