In cooperation with IXOOST, the Modena, Italy-based specialist in luxury automotive sound systems, Pirelli created a new motorsport-inspired sound experience.
The result was an exclusive hi-fi system with a state-of-the-art Bluetooth speaker in the shape of a wind tunnel tire that Pirelli provides to Formula 1 teams for aerodynamic testing.
The wind tunnel is an indispensable facility for racing teams to study every aspect of airflow, aerodynamics, in the search for optimum performance. The tires also play an important role here.
Scale model
The Pirelli P Zero Sound tuned by IXOOST was created from the scale model of the F1 wind tunnel tire. The mini tire sets new standards in design and technology and goes its own way in terms of music reproduction.
The acoustic system consists of a powerful amplifier with a 100 watt digital signal processor. The complete system is manufactured by IXOOST in Italy. The company is characterized by its attention to detail, perfect craftsmanship and passion for unique products.
With 4.0 Bluetooth APTX technology, the speaker can be wirelessly connected to smartphones and other compatible devices. This optimizes the audio signal in wireless mode to ensure the best possible playback.
Nine tires = nine colors
The Pirelli P Zero Sound is available in nine different colors. These correspond to the different colors of Pirelli's nine tire compounds for Formula 1.
Thanks to its compact dimensions (330 mm in diameter with a maximum depth of 200 mm), the inspiring design fits very well anywhere and adds an original touch to its environment.
