Unlike many competitors, the Japanese derive their product not from a summer but from a winter tire layout. The abbreviation 4S alludes to the four seasons. The tire, which is available in numerous dimensions from 14 to 19 inches, is suitable for small cars as well as mid-size cars or modern SUVs. Depending on the size, the speed index varies between 190 (T) and 300 km/h (Y).
Tire meets the latest legal requirements
The construction of the BluEarth-4S AW21 ensures safe handling and braking properties on wet, snowy and slippery roads. To improve water drainage and grip in poor road conditions, the BluEarth-4S AW21 has a tread pattern consisting of V and cross grooves. This means that the tire easily meets the latest legal requirements for a fully-fledged winter tire. It therefore bears the snowflake symbol (3PMSF). All-season sipes and large shoulder blocks ensure optimum safety in summer.
