The number of participants of more than 100,000 people worldwide underlines the popularity of this unique event. Renault for Life World Run is involved as a national partner in Switzerland. Max Heinzer, 10-time World Cup winner in epee fencing, drove a Renault Koleos, which was used to catch up with the competitors, wheelchair users, power walkers and amateur runners.
Nikolina Šustić won clearly in women's race
The worldwide running event is looking for the runner who can cover the longest distance. The participants are stopped by the "Catcher Car," which rolls up the field from behind as a moving finish line. In Switzerland, the "Catcher Car" caught up with the clear winner in the women's race, Nikolina Šustić, at the 53.73 kilometer mark. Niklas Sjöblom managed 70.1 kilometers until the Renault Koleos stopped him as the last runner - and thus also the overall winner for Switzerland.
Renault team collected almost 2000 francs
However, Renault was also on foot at the Wings for Life World Run 2018, with its own team of runners. Employees of Renault Suisse SA and the local Renault partner, as well as the winners of a competition, formed the Renault Team and collected an amount of almost 2,000 Swiss francs.
