Geneva 2018: Cupra takes to the starting line

The rear and front of the new Cupra TCR car will feature the brand logo in the official and characteristic copper color.
The Cupra Ateca scores with its striking design. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 245 km/h.

Cupra, which stands for Cup Racer, has always stood for sportiness and inspires car enthusiasts all over the world. Cupra is run as an independent company that develops models together with the parent company Seat. The brand is presented in a special area at around 260 selected dealers in Europe.

Responsibility for all motorsport activities
Seat is one of the fastest growing brands in Europe, so the current timing is appropriate for the market launch. Cupra will also cover the entire motorsport and racing division - an area that was previously the responsibility of Seat Sport and will now be integrated into the new brand.

Cupra Ateca with 300 hp first model of the brand
The Cupra Ateca is the first model of the new brand. Dr. Matthias Rabe, Board Member for Research and Development: "With 300 hp, 4Drive all-wheel drive and a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, it is the best example of a perfect balance between sportiness, driving pleasure and suitability for everyday use."

Start in the 2018 TCR racing series with new Cupra
The Cupra TCR will be the brand's first racing car and will take part in the TCR series in the 2018 season. The rear and front of the new Cupra TCR will feature the brand's logo in the official and characteristic copper color, while the shock absorbers, steering wheel, hood and bucket seats differ from the normal model. The software for the control unit has been adapted in accordance with the technical regulations of the 2018 racing series.
