Since 1977, a jury of 23 experts has crowned the best new product in the European truck business with the title "International Truck of the Year" ITOY. At the Solutrans commercial vehicle exhibition in Lyon on November 22, the new DAF CF and XF series were jointly honored with the award. In the neck-and-neck race with the Iveco Stralis NP, DAF's overall vehicle concept was convincing, giving it the necessary, albeit narrow, lead of 104 points. "The new truck generation sets new standards in terms of powertrain economy and driving performance," says Gianenrico Griffini, Chairman of the European jury, summarizing the advantages of the award winner.
