Powered by a new VC turbo engine, the Infiniti QX50 is the world's first production vehicle ever to be offered with a variable compression engine. This technology is already seen as the next big step in optimizing the efficiency and emissions of the internal combustion engine.
New platform
The QX50 with front engine and front-wheel drive is based on a new platform that is intended to offer new standards for torsional rigidity and interior space in the compact premium SUV segment. When driving itself, the so-called " ProPilot technologies" (various assistance systems) support the driver on single-lane highways and give him control of his vehicle at all times.

In terms of design, the QX50's aerodynamic exterior reinterprets Infiniti's distinctive "Powerful Elegance" design language, according to the manufacturer.
