If you want a five-door model, it is available from 16,990 francs, and the Station Wagon starts at 18,390 francs. The trunk capacity is 520, 440 or 550 liters, depending on the version. That means: enough space for family with vacation luggage.
Very much space for passengers in the back
Also the other interior masses in the Fiat Tipo are above average in the segment. This is particularly true for the rear, where up to 93 cm of knee space is offered. Only the roof bars, which are curved on the inside because of the airbags, restrict the headroom of taller passengers somewhat. Thus, the station wagon shines with a maximum cargo space length of 1.80 m.
Engine range from 95 to 120 hp
The engines available are the familiar gasoline and turbodiesel models, each with 95 hp, 110 hp and 120 hp and displacements between 1.3 and 1.6 liters. A 110 hp gasoline engine with automatic transmission rounds off the drive range of the Fiat Tipo in the course of the year.
Easy handling in any situation
The Fiat Tipo is well damped. Often, only the rolling noise of the tires comes to the fore. The damping is sporty and tight. The steering works smoothly, but very precisely. The same applies to the gearshift lever. In view of the sales prices, Fiat cannot and does not want to compete against the top dogs in the Golf class. The Italians are convinced that they can offer the buyer an attractive value with a compact at a small car price. And rightly so.
