The Mercedes-Benz Vision Van study as a glimpse into a (possible) van future is one of the highlights at transport-CH, which starts tomorrow in Bern.

In addition, there is an exciting look into the future with the Vision Van and the Urban eTruck. The Fuso eCanter, the world's first fully electric light truck from Daimler's Fuso brand, will also be on site.

X-Class at the start
The X-Class is celebrating its market launch in Switzerland here. According to the manufacturer, it impresses with its versatility of use - from rugged, off-road pickup to urban lifestyle and family vehicle. There is a choice of three trim levels, four- and six-cylinder engines, rear-wheel drive and selectable or permanent all-wheel drive, six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic transmissions.

Vision Van
With the Vision Van, Mercedes-Benz presents a van study for urban areas. It impresses with an unprecedented degree of networking. As the first van worldwide, it becomes the overall concept for a completely digitally networked process chain from the goods distribution center to the recipient. The Vision Van features a fully automated cargo area, integrated drones for autonomous air delivery and a modern joystick control system. Thanks to a 75 kW electric drive with a range of up to 270 km, delivery with the Vision Van is locally emission-free.

Fuso eCanter
With the all-electric light truck, Fuso aims to address the public's need for zero-emission and low-noise inner-city distribution transport. Depending on body and use, the eCanter has a range of 100 km and a payload of two to three tons. The vehicle's electric powertrain comprises six high-voltage lithium-ion batteries, each with 420 V and 13.8 kWh. The first vehicles are currently being produced in small series for the first selected customers and will be deployed in four major European cities and New York. The official market launch will take place in the course of 2019.
