The new model with a unique look is based on the 911 Carrera and has an output of 272 kW/370 hp. The 911 Carrera T - the "T" stands for Touring at Porsche - also has additional equipment features that are not available for the 911 Carrera.
Lowered
These include, for example, the standard PASM sports suspension with 20 millimetres lowering, the weight-optimized Sport Chrono Package, the shortened gearshift lever with red shift pattern or the fabric centre panels in Sport-Tex. Rear-axle steering, which is not offered for the 911 Carrera, is also available as an option for the 911 Carrera T.
No rear seats
There are no rear seats and no Porsche Communication Management (PCM). However, both are available on request at no extra charge. The result of the lightweight construction measures: With an unladen weight of 1425 kilograms, the two-seater is 20 kilograms lighter than a comparably equipped 911 Carrera.
Other optics
The new model can be recognized from the side by its 20-inch Carrera S wheels in titanium grey. In addition, "911 Carrera T" lettering characterizes the side view. The rear view is characterized by the slats of the boot lid grille, the Porsche lettering, the model designation "911 Carrera T" in agate grey and the standard sports exhaust system with black-painted, centrally arranged tailpipes.
Improved power-to-weight ratio
The six-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of three liters and biturbo charging develops a maximum torque of 450 Nm, which is available between 1750 rpm and 5000 rpm. Thanks to a shorter rear axle ratio and mechanical transverse lock, the 911 Carrera T sprints from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (factory specification). A dual-clutch gearbox (PDK) can be ordered as an option. The top speed with both transmission variants is more than 290 km/h.
